Reporting a file that did not work

PDF is an old format with a lot of variation, and some files fail. A useful report says which tool you used, what you expected, what happened instead, and your browser and operating system.

Please do not email the document. It is almost always private and we would rather not have it. A description of how it was produced — which scanner app, which program exported it — is usually more useful than the file.

Suggesting a tool

Requests shape what gets built. OCR, image watermarks and per-page cropping are queued because people asked.
